Taylor Swift                 A well-known American pop and country music singer-songwriter. Early life                Taylor Swift was born in West Reading,  Pennsylvania on December 13, 1989. Swift showed an interest in music at an early age. She was only 11 years old when she sang “ The Star-Spangled Banner ”; the following year, she picked up the guitar and began to write songs.  Shania Twain  and the  Dixie Chicks  were her inspiration for country music. In 2004, she signed with Sony/ATV as a songwriter at 14. At venues in the Nashville area, she performed many of her songs and was noticed by record executive Scott Borchetta.
